Two Chicks is a female led company, and founders Alla and Anna have overcome many challenges during their 15 years in business. Based on their experiences as female entrepreneurs, Anna and Alla strongly believe that it is through empowerment that girls and young women, regardless of their backgrounds, have the best chance of realising their full potential.
In Spring 2020 the women combined their conviction, and their long-held ambition, to make a positive difference and established the Two Chicks Empowerment Fund, to which 10% of profits are donated. All cartons of Two Chicks now display The Empowerment Fund logo. Each time a carton is sold, the reach of the Fund grows.
The Two Chicks Empowerment Fund exists to help girls and young women achieve their full potential through empowerment; the process of becoming stronger and more confident.
We set up our Fund because we want to support girls and young women with their personal, social, and emotional wellbeing.
To achieve this, we work closely with senior leaders at girls’ secondary schools, where an above average number of students are disadvantaged. Together, we develop a range of educational and cultural initiatives that contribute towards empowering outcomes; including greater resilience, raised self-esteem and improved mental health.
Above all we believe that mental well-being is imperative, it provides the crucial foundation that enables girls and young women to build their self-esteem, resilience, and abilities to deal with the challenges they face.
Today’s girls and young women are the potential female leaders of tomorrow; instilling them with confidence in their learning, talents and their own voices is key to making sure they are recognised, heard and given the opportunities the deserve.
Gendered stereotypes and expectations can impact how girls and young women see themselves and limit their ambitions. We seek to challenge dated assumptions and encourage girls and young women to work to the best of their abilities, aim high and, whatever their goals, to pursue them.
The Two Chicks Empowerment Fund exists thanks to two female entrepreneurs. When Alla and Anna began their business journey in 2007 they had no idea what obstacles they would encounter, but they believed that with faith in an idea and determination they could succeed. In 2021 Two Chicks Egg White is stocked in most UK supermarkets and in stores internationally. Millions of consumers recognise the brand. By sharing their stories, guidance and dedication to female empowerment, Anna and Alla hope to support and inspire the next generation of female entrepreneurs.
The Two Chicks Empowerment Fund works with senior leaders at girls’ state secondary schools to provide financial contributions to create empowering outcomes, which are based on the values of The Fund.
